GP Referral

NHS Manchester's Physical Activity on Referral Scheme (PARS) aims to improve the health and well-being of local residents through increased physical activity and community exercise, providing access to a structured programme of supported, monitored and evaluated physical activity.

There are currently 8 Trust facilities that accept GP referrals.

PARS is accessible to all residents, regardless of age, gender, race, ethnic origin, religious belief, sexual orientation, social status or physical ability. Through the use of link workers, culturally sensitive provision will be made for those who do not speak English, when appropriate.
