Manchester Aquatics Centre is the purpose-built, state-of-the-art swimming facility, situated in the centre of Manchester (close to the Universities), that stands as a fantastic legacy to the success of the Commonwealth Games 2002. It is the only complex in the UK with two 50-metre pools as well as separate diving and leisure pools. The pool can be split to offer 25m and 23m swimming.

The centre is used as a venue for world-class swimming events and galas and the training facility of the successful regional British Paralympics Swimming Squad, whilst also offering a variety of mixed leisure activities for the local community including a fitness suite with over 70 pieces of equipment, Free Swimming for 16 & under and Over 60's (registration forms below), swimming sessions, Swimlife swimming lessons, health suite and a variety of fitness classes.

The centre is accessible to all on either a casual 'pay as you go' or membership. With a wide range of memberships available, the centre can meet your choice of facilities and activity, whatever your budget. Our swim and Gym Membership includes unlimited use of the fitness suite, strength space and swimming pool.
