Sportcity

Originally developed for the Commonwealth Games in 2002, Sportcity now delivers over 400 events and receives 4.5 million visits each year. Sportcity is the home of:

City of Manchester Stadium (48,000 seater home to MCFC)
The National Cycling Centre
Manchester National Squash Centre
Manchester Regional Arena (6,500 capacity stadium)
Manchester Regional Tennis Centre
Manchester Sport and Leisure Trust                                   English Institute of Sport

Together with wider commercial partners ASDA, Next, Countryside properties and Mercedes, Sportcity has developed as an international standard events venue and a new heart for the communities of East Manchester. Sportcity is less than 2 miles from Manchester City Centre.
